Description
daily
Yenish have lived in Graubünden for hundreds of years. Until today. They are a recognized national minority in Switzerland. But they do not appear in modern art. At best, they are "gypsies with violins" or "dancers" or "travelers in a caravan". The artist Willi Wottreng, as managing director of the Yenish "Radgenossenschaft der Landstrasse", has created a panorama of contemporary Yenish life. Using the modern means of the computer, painted with a pen and color palette on an iPad, but not with the help of artificial intelligence. The pictures are wild, realistic, modern and full of life. And they avoid the "gypsy" cliché. The presentation is complemented by a media tower with videos, photos and information about Yenish life in the past and present.
