Bird excursion

An excursion to the valley floor at the beginning of the Schanfigg with Hans Strassmann, field ornithologist.

Hike via Äber, Meiersboden to the city limits of Chur.
Return by bus or walk to Chur.

With a bit of luck, the forest birds with their song can not only be heard, but also observed, as well as birds of the floodplain landscape near the Plessur and also settlement birds. In mid-May, the breeding business is still in full swing, the birds are bringing food to their nest sites, and you may already see young birds being fed by their parents.

The excursion is carried out in almost any weather, even in light rain. However, if it rains twine, it will be cancelled. In case of doubt, the telephone number 079 914 07 55 will provide information the evening before from 6:00 p.m.

If available, please take binoculars with you, maybe also some snacks.
Any insurance is the responsibility of the participants.

Meeting point: 08:45 a.m. at the PostBus stop Passugg Hotelfachschule.
Duration approx. three hours. End point Chur.

Participation fee: CHF 20, children CHF 10, family CHF 50.
