Bird excursion "Building breeders"

On the evening excursion with ornithologist Patrick Marti from the Swiss Ornithological Institute, you will learn about the most common swift and swallow species in the Beverin Nature Park, he will show you typical building nesting sites in Wergenstein and explain how you can report your valuable observations yourself and thus contribute to the protection of our feathered neighbors. Because "housing shortage" is also an issue in the bird world and nesting sites can only be preserved if their locations are known.

Finally, we enjoy a small aperitif at the Hotel Capricorns - there you can even watch the dancing sailors and swallows directly from the terrace! So we can exchange all kinds of ornithological observations and will go home with trained eyes, so that we will notice the nesting sites and bird species much faster in the future.

It will be offered twice: on 10 June in Wergenstein and on 12 June in Splügen.

If the weather is forecast to be very bad, we will inform the participants about a cancellation on the morning of the excursion.
