Concert with Albin Brun and Kristina Brunner

Two kindred spirits of contemporary folk music have joined forces to form this much-acclaimed duo: on the one hand, Albin Brun, who was awarded the Swiss Music Prize 2017, among others, who travels half the world with his music and has developed his own unmistakable musical signature over many years, and on the other hand, Kristina Brunner, who has made a name for herself far and wide with her virtuoso playing on cello and Schwyzerörgeli

Since 2017, the duo has been developing its idiosyncratic, atmospherically dense sound poetry in a continuous rehearsal process and giving numerous concerts. With their sophisticated own compositions, in which improvisational excursions always have their place, the two create chamber music of magical simplicity. An intimate dialogue full of devotion, rousing joy of playing, mischievousness and a great musical openness. In somnambulistic interplay, melodious, playful, surprising, highly virtuoso and touching sound worlds are explored here.
