They have been on the road with their vintage truck for six years. Sabine Hoppe and Thomas Rahn drive through Asia, follow the Pan-American Highway from Canada to Tierra del Fuego and cross Africa. They experience initiation rites in Ethiopia, narrowly escape a civil war in Kyrgyzstan, accompany miners underground in Bolivia, sit with nomads by the fire and get caught in a snowstorm at over 4500 m. It's the road trip adventure of the Explora season!

With their converted classic car (built in 1977), Sabine Hoppe and Thomas Rahn drive over 120,000 km through five continents and 54 countries. You will pass the scorching sandy desert of Iran, the lonely steppe of Mongolia, the temples of Laos and colorful markets in Malaysia. In the mountains of Guatemala, they live with descendants of the Maya, pass through 18 offices when crossing the border from Sudan to Egypt, celebrate the water festival in Thailand, taste the mysterious magic potion of a shaman in Malawi and dance into the New Year with Iranian young people on New Year's Eve. Canada and the USA surprise her with majestic landscapes, Central America with a diverse, actively lived culture. They look for spare parts at scrapyards in Southeast Asia and in the centre of Kuala Lumpur they dismantle the engine of their truck, which they affectionately call "Paula", with their own hands.

Sabine Hoppe and Thomas Rahn have one goal: "Once around the world. Or as far as possible." The result is a real adventure journey with ups and downs that shows what happens when you throw yourself fully into "freedom on four wheels".
