Guided hike - In the footsteps of the Flims landslide in Lumnezia

Beaches in the area around Ilanz? Around nine and a half thousand years ago, this was quite conceivable! At that time, the debris cone of the Flims landslide dammed the Vorderrhein and the Glenner into a huge lake that flooded the entire region. We walk along the former shoreline of the lake and discover the various changes in the landscape due to settlements, agriculture, roads, sports facilities, gravel extraction. At the same time, we cross a geological separation zone with interesting ceiling construction.

Information about the hike: - easy mountain hike; SAC Hiking Scale T1
- pure walking time 3 – 3 1/2 h; Ascent 320 m; descent 610 m; distance 9.6 km - highest point: 1117 m a.s.l.
- Meeting point: 09:45h Cumbel Farmarins (PostBus Ilanz from 09:35h) - Farewell: 15:00h Ilanz train station (RhB direction Chur, Ilanz from 15:24h / 16:24h)

- Mountain hiking equipment; good footwear with treaded soles
- Food from the backpack; enough liquid

- Cost per person: Fr.35.00 (special conditions for members and holders of the WWGR hiking pass)
- Insurance is the responsibility of the participants, REGA patron membership recommended
