Stone stories above Disentis - Guided hike

Once hidden under a thick layer of ice, today a varied mountain landscape with different alpine habitats is revealed around the Muotta high above Disentis. The Aare massif with its hundreds of millions of years old rocks tells stories. The glaciers and streams have created valleys in which moors and mountain lakes nestle like jewels of the landscape. The panoramic view of the Medelser Group and the Anterior Rhine Valley as far as Chur is magnificent.
For the ascent to Caischavedra we use the suspension railway. On mostly well-marked hiking trails, we cross Disentis' local mountain La Muotta, with a short rope protection in rocky terrain. From Cuolm da Vi you take the gondola down to Sedrun.
