For 30 years, Shelly has been on stage every night as a dancer in the "Razzle Dazzle" show, the last performance of its kind in Las Vegas. The performances, the costumes and her showgirl surrogate family mean everything to her. When the end of the show is announced, a world collapses for her. With her best friend, the waitress Annette, Shelly tries to survive the last days until the final screening with dignity. But the impending emptiness in her life forces her to deal with her past and the decisions she has made. She tries to save the strained relationship with her now adult daughter, whom she neglected as a child, in order to pursue her own professional passion.

In "The Last Showgirl", director Gia Coppola shows a touching portrait of an aging showgirl who has to say goodbye to the glamorous Las Vegas of yesteryear with the changes in the entertainment industry. Pamela Anderson convinces in the multi-layered leading role and Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis shines as Shelly's best friend. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
