Description
In the last six months, the CHURSÜD women's choir has entered unknown territory. According to the motto "TRY IT OUT", they followed in the footsteps of yodelling. This archaic singing technique can be found all over the world: among the indigenous peoples of Africa, in the north among the Sami and, of course, here in the Alpine region. The longing call of the chest voice in rapid alternation with the soft sounds of the head voice creates yodelling, which also inspires modern composers to create new works.
At our concerts, we present a selection of beautiful yodels as well as varied songs and songs: from Romanesque folk songs to pop ballads to Latvian evening songs. Let yourself be surprised by the combination of these worlds.
