[tʃlˈfɪk]. Guided hike from Arosa via Litzirüti to Langwies with comments on the sound installations "B-Seite", "Hoi", and "Ti abbraccio" In the footsteps of sound: Experience cultural history in Schanfigg and immerse yourself in the sound world of the valley. As part of the major project "[tʃlˈfɪk]: Sounding Cultural History in Schanfigg", there will be various sound installations and objects to discover in different villages in the Schanfigg during the summer months starting in 2024. The approximately 15 sounding installations make the cultural history of Schanfigg tangible on both sides of the valley. On May 31, 2025, the three stations "B-Seite", "Hoi", and "Ti abbraccio" will be explored along the village path Schanfigg from Arosa via Litzirüti to Langwies, where interactions occur with the history of the cultural figure "Gigi vu Arosa", the languages Arabic, Kurmandschi, and Dari/Persian, as well as stories about the lives of Italian guest workers at the Langwies Viaduct (1912-1914). What is fiction and what is truth in the latter, remains for you to discover in the end. Interesting backgrounds to the historical contexts and artistic elaborations of the installations, special places and encounters, and last but not least, the wonderful nature of Schanfigg await.
