Berghaus Sulzfluh

Even today, when you sit in the Berghaus Sulzfluh with good food and kerosene light, you can easily imagine yourself in the past. The "old parlour" offers space for around 60 people. Not only dancing, laughing, (and sometimes also beating) was done here. Many of your table neighbours today would have been smugglers a hundred years ago, who would bring his goods to Austria over the border passes tomorrow. The Berghaus Sulzfluh was built in 1875 - the rooms as well as the restaurant were left in their original condition. The new extension was completed in 2003. The modern building reflects the open-mindedness of your hosts and at the same time highlights the old house with its traditional history. The new Stübli offers space for 18 people, the extended sun terrace offers space for around 80 people.

Please note that the Berghaus can only be reached on foot in winter. Approx. 1 hour walk from the last car park in St. Antönien Rüti. In summer you can use the last parking lot below Berghaus. To unload people, you can drive to the Berghaus, but there are no parking spaces available.

Summer season: 7 June to 27 October 2024
Open Wednesday to Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are our rest days.
During the summer holidays, depending on the weather, it is also open on Mondays, Tuesdays.

Winter season 2024/25: expected 12 December to 27 April 2025 depending on snow conditions, the opening hours will be adjusted.
Closed on 24 December.

generally open daily, but we reserve the right to take rest days in between depending on occupancy, weather or avalanche danger

Summer season 2025: Expected June 6 to October 26 or November 2

From the end of June to mid-August daily and from mid-August to mid-October on weekends, the alpine bus runs to the Berghaus, Sulzfluh stop.
