Ristorante Motrice

Built by great-grandfather Bernardino Isepponi and opened to the public at the beginning of 1912, in 1982 the old building gave way to a new construction curated by the architect Prospero Gianoli. With a more modern and spacious character, the new building gives life to a small shopping center with the Motrice Restaurant, the former Isepponi Typography and the Bordoni Pastry Bakery.

In 1987 "Achitettura Grigioni" awarded the Centro Motrice the Graubünden architecture prize for the particularity and versatility of its construction.

The Motrice Restaurant has been run by the Isepponi family for four generations.

Over the years the Motrice has been, and still is, a meeting place much loved by many artists. Celebrities such as Wolfgang Hildesheimer, Sonja and Jan Wisse, Rudolf Blaser and Not Bott were guests.
