Description

You can start the Kesch-Trek either from Dürrboden or the Flüela Pass. We recommend that you use public transport at the start. Timetables can be found on the Internet or at the destination Davos Klosters. Your first stop destination is the Grialetsch hut SAC, where you will spend the night.

Geheimtipp

Fancy a little detour with incredible views? The Flüela Schwarzhorn (3147 m.a.s..M l.) is a three-thousander with an easy ascent.

Sicherheitshinweis

The Kesch-Trek is an alpine mountain hike. The possible dangers in the high mountains must be correctly assessed. The hiking stages require a good physical condition.

In October and the end of April to the end of May, the Swiss Army conducts shooting exercises in the vicinity of S-chanf. Thus, the area between S-chanf and the Mountain Inn Dürrboden is closed during this time in the Scaletta and Grialetsch area (danger to life).

Ausrüstung

Sturdy mountain boots, weatherproof and warm clothing, rain cover, food for the hiking stages (packed lunches can also be purchased in the huts), enough water, sun and head protection, pocket pharmacy, maps for orientation and possible hiking poles.

Directions

Public Transport

From Landquart to Davos with the Rhaetian Railway. There are two accesses to the Grialetsch-Hütte SAC, which can be easily reached by public transport: From Davos Dorf train station to Dürrboden in the Dischmatal (ascent from Dürrboden about 1.5 to 2 h), or from the train stations Davos Platz or Davos Dorf to Flüelapass-Chantsura, about 1.5 km after the pass height (ascent from the pass road about 2 to 2.5 h).
