Description
The winter hiking trail starts this easy tour at the covered wooden bridge in Andeer. From there, the Hinterrhein is crossed. We continue to the small village of Clugin. From Clugin, the route leads via Donat to Zillis. Shortly before Donat you will pass the second covered wooden bridge on this hike. In Zillis stands the world-famous church of St. Martin. The Romanesque picture ceiling has made the church the «Sistine of the Alps». You can get back to the starting point Andeer by PostBus or on foot, e.g. via Pignia.
Information on the condition of the winter hiking trails in Schams can be found here.
Geheimtipp
In Clugin, a visit to the small, inconspicuous church is worthwhile. The interior is decorated with murals by the Waltensburg and Rhäzüns masters.
