Description

The start is at the 4* HUB Resgia of the Engadin Arena at 1666 m a.s.l.. The first ascents are on the section of the Engadin Ultra Trail (EUT 102). These are quite demanding, as you have to climb almost 780 metres in 6 km. You are rewarded with spectacular views of the villages of La Plaiv and the breathtaking mountain world with Piz Kesch (3418 m a.s.l.). The trail leads through the Val Granda to Alp Arpiglia. Shortly after the Alp, which is farmed in summer, the trail branches off to the right down the valley into the "green corridor" through the cool Avers forest. On the old alpine road, the last challenge is to climb 200 metres in altitude in a crisp 1.5 km, before you reach the starting point of the challenging Zuoz loop again. The Arpiglia stage has a length of 12.7 km, overcomes 810 metres of altitude difference and not only makes the heart rate of all trail runners beat faster.

For those who want to prepare even better for the Engadin Ultra Trail, we recommend the two other sections Belvair and Clavadatsch.
