Description
The hike starts in Maienfeld at Stall 247, where we receive a backpack with three exquisite wines from the Bündner Herrschaft region. From there, the route leads through the idyllic vineyards to Fläsch. On the way back, we take a different route back to the starting point. Along the way, numerous benches invite you to rest and taste the wines. The audio guide also provides exciting insights into the wine region, viticulture and the work of the winegrowers. A fascinating combination of enjoyment and wine knowledge awaits us on this unique circular walk.
Geheimtipp
On the way, you will find a converted wine barrel with a small library inside. A short stop is worthwhile.
Ausrüstung
Lightweight daypack (approx. 15 litres) with rain cover, comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water if necessary
Directions
The hike begins at Restaurant Stall 247, where we pick up our backpack with the wines. We follow Spitalgasse for about 50 metres to the junction, where we then turn left into Heidelberggässli. We follow Heidelberggässli up to the signpost for the Maienfeld - Fläsch wine route and follow it to the end. We cross Steigstrasse and can already see the Heidi fountain. Here we can enjoy our first wine on the numerous benches. We continue our hike along the path towards Fläsch until we reach the stream. There are more benches along the way, perfect for a second bottle of wine. We follow the stream down to the main road that leads from Fläsch to Maienfeld. We walk about 50 metres along the roadside in the direction of Maienfeld and then turn left onto the footpath. We follow this for about 900 metres, past the Davaz winery. Immediately afterwards, the path leads left up to the edge of the forest. We continue along this path, stopping again for a final wine tasting, until we finally arrive back at the Stall 247 restaurant in Maienfeld and hand back our backpack.
