Casti Grotta - Ognas da Pardiala

From the village of Danis, you can enjoy a leisurely walk along a small road to Zaniz. The route now climbs somewhat steeper in places along the hiking trail in the sunny forest to the Casti Grotta (Kropfenstein ruins). The remains of the wall are daringly embedded in the overhanging rock faces. But don't worry, the access is well secured and safe to walk on. The trail continues to Waltensburg, where the Waltensburg Master left his artistic mark in the Reformed Church. The descent towards the Rhine is relatively steep over a short stretch. Those who have had enough of hiking at the bottom of the valley can take the train back to Tavanasa and walk to the starting point in Danis. If you still feel like it, you can enjoy a pleasant walk back to Danis along the Polenweg.
