Chants - Salect - Kesch-Hütte SAC - Schevgel - Chant

The beautiful hike starts in Chants at the back of the wildly romantic Val Tours.  The mountain hiking trail along the Ava da Salect, between Forun and Kesch-Pitschen, leads over various terrain steps, past fragrant Iva, Achilleia Moschata, large boulders and whistling marmots to the glacier forefield of the Porchabella and Kesch glaciers. This special, barren and glacier-dominated area is particularly worthy of protection and belongs to landscapes of national importance.

• On the ascent to the Kesch-Hütte SAC you will find the small, white flower Iva. Take a moment and smell it. Isn't it fantastic what strong, fresh, spicy scent this little plant sprays? Please only smell it and do not pick it. 
• At the top, at 2625 m above sea level, is the Kesch Hut SAC. Fortify yourself for the descent with a fine rösti, a great hut soup or a fine piece of cake from the hut bakery. If you want to enjoy the spectacular view of the Bergüner Stöcke and the Piz Kesch longer, it is best to reserve a place to sleep here. 
• If you feel like it, make a short detour to Alp digl Chant. (When reaching the Alpstrasse, left; less than 10 minutes) In the small Alp-Lädeli fresh yoghurt, butter and cheese are offered for sale.
• Mountain restaurant Piz Kesch, cosy mountain restaurant.

At the mountain restaurant Piz Kesch turn right and follow the alpine road towards Alp digl Chant. After about 300 meters, turn left towards Chamarchet. The path is marked with "Abbreviation Kesch-Hütte SAC". The first climb leads through the forest. Following the path further, you reach the Kesch-Hütte SAC via various terrain steps. The path leads back over the Schevgel back to the Alp digl Chant Alps cup. Follow the road to the right to Chants.
