The Crown of the Surselva is an impressive and sometimes challenging circular hike from hut to hut in Graubünden. It connects the seven mountain huts in the Surselva - the Vorderrheintal valley between Flims and the source of the Rhine at the Oberalp Pass, including the Vals, Lumnezia and Medel valleys.

Description

Descent to Alp Sura and ascent to Fuorcla dalla Buora (2292 m). Descent via Ziegenalp Puzzetta to the pass road in Fuorns. Then by post bus to the Lukmanier Pass.

Geheimtipp

Magnificent views of the glacier world on Piz Medel, the modern huts of the Ziegenalp - and of course their cheese!

The effective hiking distance is 7 kilometers.

Please note: snow fields are possible on high-altitude sections well into the summer months.

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.
