Challenging panoramic tour on single trails and roads
Details
Description
We start our tour in Sedrun in the direction of Surrein into the Val Nalps and choose the route over the mountain pastures of Pardatsch da Vaccas, which is located on the old valley route, to the left of the Rein da Nalps. A little later, we benefit from the asphalt road to the reservoir, which leads in ten hairpin bends to the top of the wall. Now it's getting serious! Up to the alpine hut of Cuolm Nalps it is still reasonably easy on the alpine road, then we change to the single trail uphill, where a bit of pushing is the order of the day. Only when we have reached the altitude can we enjoy the panorama with Oberalpstock and Tödi again.
The descent to Cavorgia, over Alp La Rieda to Mises Grond , requires full concentration, but as soon as we reach roads again, we are not far away from our starting point.
Info: Bridge in Val Nalps to Pardatsch closed. Drive on the asphalt road to the reservoir. As of July 2024
Geheimtipp
The asphalt road of the power plant is very suitable for a simple warm-up.
Sicherheitshinweis
From Pardatsch to the hairpin bends, on the old route, you will encounter streams and wet spots.
Directions
From Sedrun we drive on the road in a southerly direction to Surrein and further into the Val Nalps. At the junction towards Cavorgia we keep left and immediately right again after the bridge. A road leads up to Alp Pardatsch da Vaccas. After the mountain pastures, the path becomes narrower and there are always wet spots. The path ends again in the asphalt road, which leads in wide hairpin bends to above the wall crown of the reservoir. At the large parking lot, at the red bench, we continue for about 100 meters. Then we turn left onto the alpine road. This ends at the alpine hut and we change to the marked hiking trail to Cuolm Cavorgia. Above the tree line there is a junction of the hiking trail, where we turn right. We pass the alpine huts of Rieda and Mises Grond. Here we meet a road again. We follow this and at the next junction we keep right, then left again until we reach Cavorgia. Now we drive on the road via Surrein back to Sedrun.
