Circular hike with a stop in the picturesque village of Disla
Details
Description
We hike down to the Rhine on a road with little traffic, where we walk along the edge of the cross-country ski trail along the river, accompanied by the sound of the water. It's idyllic here! In Disla, we walk past old, lovingly maintained farmhouses and a mill with a water wheel towards St Lucius Chapel, which is unique in its octagonal shape.
Right next to it is the Ustria Fravia (smithy). The museum-like parlour is reminiscent of times long past. When the weather is nice, however, we prefer to have our coffee served outside. Continuing on, we reach a sparse forest above the cantonal road, where we are not disturbed by the noise of the road. After the hamlet of Faltscharidas, we make a cultural stop at St. Plazidus Church, after which our tour soon ends at Disentis railway station.
Sicherheitshinweis
Be careful when crossing the main road (no pedestrian strip)
Quarter and side roads are mostly snow-free.
Directions
We follow the road to Cavardiras. Before the bridge in Brulf we turn left until we reach the village. We walk towards the chapel, which can be seen from afar. After visiting the restaurant, take the same path back about 200 meters. Here we find the signpost that points left up to the main road. After crossing the road, the trail leads via Faltscharidas back to Disentis
