Description

In this section, you cross the Schanfigg valley and reach the only valley floor settlement in the Schanfigg, Molinis. The village with its tanned wooden houses has largely retained its charm and is a crossroads for hikes. The fantastic landscape along the Plessur and the idyllic hiking trails invite you to linger. From Molinis, the route continues to Tschiertschen, where this suggested stage ends. From Tschiertschen, the Graubünden Way of St James (Via Son Giachen 43) leads to Langwies. From Langwies, you can walk along the hiking trail to Arosa or alternatively take the Rhaetian Railway to Arosa or Chur. If you would like to end your tour in Tschiertschen, you will find the bus stop "Tschiertschen, Dorf" in Tschiertschen, from where you can take public transport back to Chur. You can find the timetable at https://www.sbb.ch/de.

Geheimtipp

Molinis is home to various craftsmen. If you are lucky, you can look over the shoulders of some of them as they work their natural materials. For refreshments, stop off at the Postbeizli in Molinis. Details and opening times can be found at https://postbeizli.ch/
