Alpine, exciting and challenging. That's how you could describe this exclusive hut tour. It leads over the often visited Greina plateau, as well as over rarely used and alpine paths.

Description

Just the journey with the "Bus alpin" to the Val Sumvitg is great. At the stop "Tenigerbad" it will soon be shot with sightseeing. Without running in, the trail now climbs steeply over Alp Vallesa to the Medelserhütte. The cabin is known for its phenomenal sunsets.

The second day takes alpine hikers over the often exhausted and largely crevass-free Lavaz Glacier and on over the Fuorcla Sura da Lavaz to the Passo della Greina. Now you can enjoy the plateau of the Greina to the Terrihütte to the fullest.

The third day begins with the suspension bridge "Punt la Greina". Those who have managed to do this can now take the ascent to the Diesrut Pass under their hiking boots. The descent via Puzzatsch is then just a bonus. Here the reserved bus Alpin or another hour's walk to the overnight place in Vrin is waiting.

On the fourth day, it gets lonely again. Hardly anyone knows the hiking trail over Alp Cavel and Fuorcla da Cavel. Here, the landscape is particularly barren and quiet. The idyllic mountain lake Lag Grond may invite you to take a very short refreshing dip. Could be!? If you haven't had a "knee snapper" yet, you could get it on the final descent. From the small hut Cugn Sut, the altitude just melts away. But now you're almost there. You will be back in Tenigerbad in three kilometres. Happy and maybe a little tired.

Geheimtipp

-Be sure to book the alpine bus in Val Sumvitg (1st and 4th day) and, if necessary, from Puzzatsch to Vrin in advance. Mobile phone reception is often not available on the tour.

-If you only want to be on the road for three days, you can end the tour in Vrin and take the post bus back to Ilanz.

-If you are looking for a rustic overnight stay before the start of the tour or afterwards, you will find it in the Ustria Val Sumvitg.

-Attention Bus alpin Val Sumvitg: 24 June to 08 October 2023: Runs only 2x per day, only Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Call-a-taxi on request: GreinaBus GmbH, Surrein, Tel. 079 150 66 66 .
