Details
Description
The circular route commemorates the painter Hans Brühlmann (1878–1911) from Eastern Switzerland. In the last years of his life (1910/1911), the artist created about a hundred Vättner drawings. At seven locations where Brühlmann drew Vättis, his drawings are juxtaposed with double-exposure photographs by the Vättner photo artist Korinna Fröhlich from modern times. The pictures and photographs are supplemented by references to interesting facts from history (on the board and on the website of the Vättis Tourist Office). The fourth element is the invitation to the viewer to look at the landscape and Vätti with his own eyes and to look for differences between the drawings of 1910/1911 and today's situation. The picture journey is enriched by text about the works of art and the history of the village (also available via QR code).
