Description

The hike leads through the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site "Tectonic Arena Sardona".The starting point for the hike is the valley station in Flims. From there, the trail climbs gently to Foppa and then steadily uphill to the former Naraus mountain station. Most of the altitude metres have now been covered. Now the trail continues on the Segnes Höhenweg towards the lower Segensboden with fantastic views. After passing the end of the lower Segnesboden, we reach the Segnes hut, which invites you to linger on its sun terrace.

In the visitor pavilion at the Segneshütte you can learn what the world looked like when the landslide fell or when the main overthrust was still active. Dive into the past and travel back to the origins of the geological highlights of the region.

Continue past the reservoir and to the farmed Alp Nagens, from where you have the option of using the Flims Laax Falera shuttle to get to the valley station in Laax.

Snowline map

While at higher altitudes there is at best already snow, the trails in the valley are still free of snow. Our interactive snow depth map helps you to plan your tour. Here you can see at a glance at www.flims.com/schneesituation where you can already expect snow on the paths and trails and where you can still be on the road without getting cold feet.

Geheimtipp

The converted cowshed on the Alp Nagens offers regional delicacies.

Sicherheitshinweis

In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather reversals in the mountains are common. If a rain front or similar inflates during the hike, you should reverse in time.

Ausrüstung

Good mountain boots, rain- and sun protection as well as sunglasses highly recommended.
