Alp Crap Alv (2026 m). The alp is called Weissenstein in German. ETH Zurich maintains a research station in a large building: "Research activities focus on alternative forms of use of alpine pastures in sustainable livestock systems as well as the physiological and ecological effects of alpine pastures."

From the beginning of the last crossing of the Albula Pass road past the hugely picturesque Alpsee 'Crap Alv Laiets and then up to Fuorcla Crap Alv, you will probably share the natural scenery with a few mountaineers at most, but probably not with other bikers.

The zigzag descent from the Fuorcla Crap Alv with a little more than 400 m of altitude are accompanied by the beautiful view down into Val Bever, over to the peaks Piz Marsch, Piz Ot, Piz Muottas, etc. And oh yes: a true mountain flower paradise! And as a supplement, edelweiss can be admired - and a lot of them (see pictures). After the technical dream descent, you will reach the sparsely populated and largely untouched Val Bever, which is only used gently for tourism.

Personally, I find the descent down through Suvretta da San Murezzan one of the most fantastic single trails, on which you can always look for the technically easiest riding line!

About 100 m before Alp Suvretta, do not follow this alp, but instead stay true to the path on the right for about 200 m and then cross the Suvretta stream. Now begins on the 'Via Engiadina' trail and still on narrow paths what is possibly the most beautiful section of the day to the destination in Maloya, past blueberry bushes, always the snow-capped mountains of the Bernina massif and the fantastic lake landscape with Lake Silvaplana and Lake Sils in front of your eyes. Dozens of windsurfers are always bustling around Lake Silvaplana. For a long time you are on historical ground - even the Romans used the transition between Maloja Pass, Julier Pass and Thusis.

At the height of Sils, you can see the famous Val Fex on the opposite side of the valley. Today's enduro tour also passes in Grevasalvas above Lake Sils. In 1978, this location served as an open-air film revolving stage for the 26-part children's series 'Heidi'.
