A pleasant walk from Milez via the Maiensässe Caspausa to Selva.
Details
Description
We benefit from the free local bus and are taken to Milez, an alp that is the center of the ski area in winter. In summer it's very cozy here, cows graze peacefully and "wandering birds" or bikers meet in the Las Palas hut, a small, rustic restaurant.
In front of us lies the Val Tujetsch with its villages and hamlets and we hike through fragrant hay meadows with flowers and butterflies. We circle around the Berghaus Planatsch and a few minutes later we are at the pretty Maiensässen of Caspausa.
A shady forest awaits us on the way until we reach the pass road. We walk down a stone-lined path to the village of Selva, which burned down completely except for one house a few decades ago. The village, including the church and rectory, was then rebuilt. And the first golf course on the Rhine has been located here for some time now. At the junction on the pass road, at the cairn, we wait for the local bus that will take us back to Sedrun.
Groups of 10 or more must be registered for the local bus by the day before: Tel. +41(0)79 681 76 23

Directions
From Milez we hike on a hiking trail near the wires of the chairlift downhill until we meet the paved alpine road. After a short swivel to the right, you continue on a road below the Berghaus Planatsch. Arriving at the alpine huts in Caspausa, the road leads to a meadow path, and in the forest to a wide hiking trail. In front of the forest we go straight ahead at the junction. After the forest we cross the pass route and diagonally opposite the narrow descent to Selva begins. At the church we keep to the left. So we get to the access road, which leads back up to the Passtrasse, where the stop of the local bus is located.
