Description

Thanks to the leisurely climb on forest paths, we classify this trail as a “pleasure tour”. It can also snow a little, which makes the hiking experience through the winter forest even more exciting. We start at the parking lot near the chapel in Cavorgia and follow the signs in a south-easterly direction. Traces of rabbits, squirrels, deer and deer can be found everywhere and we hear the delicate chirping of wood tits. If we behave calmly, there is a good chance that an animal will cross our path. When we arrive at the Maiensässe, we walk in an arc across the pretty forest clearing and then look for a nice place to rest. On the way back we shorten the tour to Cavorgia over open terrain, which is a special pleasure when there is fresh snow.

Geheimtipp

In high winter, the sunshine duration is rather low, but the winter forest is particularly attractive when snowfall.

Sicherheitshinweis

The route is signposted, but we recommend that guests who are not familiar with the location print out the topo card and take it with them.

Directions

At the parking lot in Cavorgia we follow the signs in a southeasterly direction. On a road we walk to a first junction, where we turn right. Another branch follows, but this time we turn left again.  A round is signalled in the clearing at the Maiensässen. The way back is in the middle area on the same route. Then, however, at the junction of the forest road through the forest, you can walk down to Cavorgia in a straight line.
