Rhine-Reuss-Rhôneweg

The Rhine-Reuss-Rhône Trail comprises 13 stages, starting in Disentis. leads over the Oberalp and Furka passes and ends at the monastery in St. Maurice. The trail is mainly used by pilgrims from south-eastern Switzerland or the Upper Tyrol, who prefer the cool Alps to the heat of the Po Valley. 

If you want to continue your pilgrimage from St. Maurice, you will choose the Via Francigena northwards to Lausanne for Santiago de Compostela to Lausanne and then continue on the Ways of St. James. In the direction of Rome, you walk from Martigny  and continue southwards over the Great St. Bernard.
