Leisurely round trip through the Val Schons from Zillis or Andeer via Donat, Clugin, Pignia and Reischen.
Details
Description
The route takes us on both sides of the Hinterrhein through the lovely valley, which is characterized by agriculture. From Zillis, the route leads to Donat and Clugin and continues along a secluded nature trail to Andeer. In Clugin, we recommend a stop at the idyllic listed church. In Andeer, we cross the Hinterrhein at the southern exit of the village and pedal leisurely through the historic village, which invites you to linger. We leave Andeer at the mineral baths and head up towards Pignia, where we enjoy an unobstructed view of the Schamserberg opposite. After a loop at the edge of the forest above the village, the route descends at breakneck speed to Pignia Bogn, where the mineral-rich spring of the Andeer spa has its source. The route continues on side paths to Zillis with the historically significant church of St. Martin from the 12th century. The route ends with a loop from Zillis up to Reischen to the fireplace on the other side of the covered wooden bridge. We enjoy the wonderful view of the Vals Schons once again before heading back down to Zillis.
