Details
Description
We start our tour at the upper end of the village of Segnas and for the first 15 minutes we hike along the valley run in Val Segnas. Be careful: skiers! But then we turn left onto a forest path into the forest and climb leisurely to the first huts of Run Cunel.
We take a break at the Maiensässen in Prau Sura. Leaning against one of the sunlit huts, we enjoy the silence and the view of the Piz Medel. We do a few laps in the open field in the fresh snow before we start the descent to Mompe Tujetsch. This takes us through a forest that seems like a fairytale. As soon as we hit the winter hiking trail, we put our snowshoes on our backpacks and hike back to Segnas. Finally, we treat ourselves to coffee and cake in the cozy Ustria Cresta on the lower edge of the village.
Geheimtipp
At the starting point in Segnas we find a starting board with further information about the tour.

Directions
Above the village of Segnas we follow the pink signposts and we walk into the Val Segnas until we reach the junction on the left, to Prau Sura. On a wide path we reach the highest point after about 1 hour. Now we keep southwards, either following the signs or making our own tracks across the open field. At the fountain in Prau Sura, the path now leads downhill through a forest to Mompe Tujetsch. From here we hike back to Segnas without snowshoes.
