The ruggedly romantic Roffla Gorge is situated at the exit point from the old Avers road, slightly to the south of Andeer. The trail to Ausserferrera and on to Innerferrera takes you along the Ragn da Ferrera with its glacier mills, rock formations of slate, marble, quartzite, gneiss and Dolomites, then past the remains of an old disused mine.
