Description

After Innerferrera wonderful arched bridges and impressive natural stone walls alternate with tombini (water culverts), making for an entertaining hike. At Avers Cröt the trail continues up a steep section leading on to the well-preserved Cresta Rhine bridge and two other ancient arched stone bridges, known as Furra, up to Avers-Cresta.

At Avers-Cresta the first views of the high valley open up, featuring typical Walser houses dotted about the valley, some of them more than 400 years old. The Walser people nurture their customs and traditions to this day, and that includes their own local dialect.
