Description
From Disentis (1130 m above sea level) you can already see Cavardiras, which towers high above the Surselva. A short descent to the Rhine and a gentle ascent take you to the village on the other side of the valley. You are now on cycle route no. 3. A short, fast descent takes you to Pardomat and along the Vorderrhein you reach Trun (852 m above sea level) via gravel banks and cool alluvial forests from Surrein. MTB route no. 90 now takes you to the Obersaxen plateau. The area was settled by the Walser people and is therefore a Swiss-German language island in the middle of the Surselva. Above Friggahüs, you reach the highest point of the day (1481 m above sea level) and, accompanied by an impressive view of the Surselva, you roll out comfortably to Meierhof (1259 m above sea level).
