T 11 Via Francisca: Lukmanier - Aquila

Here at the top of the Lukmanier Pass, we cross a linguistic and cultural border. The Lukmanier becomes the Lucomagno. We now descend into the Valle di Blenio, the Blenio Valley. The local population also calls this valley Valle del Sole, the sunny valley. Three short, partly steep descents, then again plains, which are actively used for cross-country skiing in winter. This is how we first get to Olivone. Two ways to get to Aquila from here. The lower historical path, or the upper path with a 70 m long Tibetan suspension bridge newly inaugurated in 2022. The more we lose altitude, the warmer it gets.

!! Attention!! At the hamlet of Camperio, km 12.8, we reach the cantonal road. !! Attention!! Incorrect signage. We turn left here. Please follow the directions on the outdooractive app. , or your printed map. This trail is much easier to walk.

Likewise in Olivone: if you don't want to climb to the small suspension bridge, according to the signs, stay on the historical, our path, as recorded on the app.

The stages in this documentation are suggestions that each pilgrim can adapt to his wishes. however, the technical data always concern the assumption that these stages are completed in one day.
