Description

From Samnaun village, this tour starts comfortably along the Vitaparcours. Shortly before the Planer Tal valley, the first crisp ascent awaits on a single trail with an elevation gain of around 180 metres towards Motta Saltuorn. Shortly below Motta Saltuorn, the valley is traversed, then the forest road climbs steadily for around 2 kilometres to Fuorcla Curschiglias. Continue along the ‘Schäfersteig’ high-level trail via Motta Foppazins to Salantinas. Here you can enjoy the view of the Val Sampuoir and the Samnaun valley. From Salantinas, the trail takes a leisurely descent along the forest road via Motta Saltuorn back to Samnaun.

With the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or from the Upper Engadine) every hour to Scuol-Tarasp station
Continue with the PostBus to the PostBus stop Samnaun village, Riva

Anreise Information

From the north: via Landquart - Klosters by car transport through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadine on H27, from Vinadi turn left towards Samnaun
From the east: via Landeck / Austria in the direction of Reschenpass on the B180, from Kajetansbrücke in the direction of Spiss - Samnaun on the L348
From the south: via Reschenpass to Kajetansbrücke, there in the direction of Spiss - Samnaun on the L348
