Short hike through shady forest to Tüüfelstei. Partly on the dam path, along the Vals Rhine. Short section on the road.
Pack your rucksack for a cozy barbecue. The barbecue site is equipped with a table set and firewood.

The legend board on the Tüüfelstei tells the legend of the Vals Devil's Stone.

Directions
From the square on the eastern side along the Vals Rhine out of the valley to Gäud. Cross the bridge there and follow the road towards Ilanz for a short distance. After the gallery, follow the signpost to the right into the forest, descending slightly down the slope out of the valley to Tüüfelstei. From there, return the same way. Continue into the village via the road or on the other side of the dam path (alternative).

Take the SBB to Chur, continue with the RhB to Ilanz, then take the PostBus from Ilanz to Vals.

Via Chur-Flims-Laax-Ilanz to Vals.

Public parking lot Bidem, at the schoolhouse Vals or at the mountain railroad Vals (CHF 5/day).
