Details

Description

The hike starts at the Viamala Gorge Visitor Centre and continues the first 250 m along the road up the valley to the signpost on the left side of the road, where the 'viaSpluga' trail descends to the Punt da Suransuns suspension bridge. After crossing the Hinterrhein, the route follows a secluded forest path on the other side of the river, which finally joins a forest road a little further up, which leads up to Reischen on the left.

In Reischen, a covered wooden bridge crosses the 'Ual da Reschen'. On the way from Reischen to Zillis you have a wonderful view of Val Schons and the Schamserberg opposite. In Zillis is the listed hall church of St. Martin from the 12th century with its unique wooden ceiling.
