Medergen: timber houses, burned brown by the sun cluster closely together at 2000 m altitude. Each house in Sapün is evidence of the times when Walser folk lived all year round in this «wild valley». Along the old summer trail to Langwies, once a centre for the Walsers in hinteren Schanfigg.
