Winterwandern: Alp Dado Panorama Runde

You have two options to walk the route.

Option 1: Breil/Brigels-Dorf valley station

From the valley station, take the chairlift that takes you to Crest Falla and at the same time to the start of the route. From here, follow Winterwanderweg 1 downhill. After about 500 meters at the hairpin bend, change to the winter hiking trail 7 for traversal. Follow this until you cross Winterwanderweg 2. Once there, follow the winter hiking trail 2 uphill. Now you can follow the winter hiking trail 2 to the end, where you arrive at the mountain restaurant Alp Dado. Here you have the opportunity to stop and enjoy the view to Obersaxen or the Thal. From the mountain restaurant Alp Dado, follow the winter hiking trail 1 downhill. The path leads parallel to the ski slope towards the mountain restaurant Burleun. Stay on the winter hiking trail 1 which leads you back to the starting point Crest Falla. Now you have the possibility to take the chairlift back to Brigels or to follow the winter hiking trail 1 down to the village.

Option 2: Waltensburg valley station

From the valley station, take the chairlift to the terminus Alp Dado and at the same time to the start of the route. From here follow the winter hiking trail 1 downhill which leads you parallel to the ski slope past the Bergrestaurant Burleun. Here you have the opportunity to take a short break to enjoy the mountain cuisine from the sun terrace. Continue on winter hiking trail 1 until you come to the hairpin bend, where you change to winter hiking trail 7. After a short traversal on the winter hiking trail 7, you will reach the winter hiking trail 2. If you now want to complete the round up to Alp Dado, follow the winter hiking trail 2 uphill. This then leads you to Alp Dado, where you can take the chairlift back to Waltensburg. However, if you prefer to walk to Waltensburg, you can follow Winterwanderweg 2 downhill. This path leads you directly to Waltensburg valley station.

On the hike you will encounter various mountain huts and other rustical buildings. In between, take the time to stop and enjoy the wonderful mountain landscape. Maybe even on one of the wooden benches you will find in front of one or the other hut.
