Idyllic winter hiking trail from Sumvitg to Rabius.
Details
Description
The hiking trail can be started from Sumvitg (village exit east towards Rabius) or from Rabius (village exit west towards Sumvitg). The route is located on the sunny slope and partly leads through the old cantonal road, which will be used for non-motorised traffic after the construction of the new bridge. You cross the small hamlet of Runs with its picturesque chapel of St. Nicholas. From here there is a beautiful view of the imposing bridge of Val Mulinaun and the Val Sumvitg. The detached house in Val Mulinaun was formerly used as a mill. This hike can be combined with the winter hiking trail of Sumvitg-Runs-Rabius in the east of Sumvitg.
Geheimtipp
Visit to the Sogn Benedetg chapel by the well-known architect Peter Zumthor.
Sicherheitshinweis
In case of uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a snow front or similar comes up during the hike, you should turn back in time.
