This easy alpine trail on the south side of the Surselva offers much sun and gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and the valley. It leads through an extraordinary landscape, past several chapels and the picturesque villages of Siat, Ruschein, Ladir and Falera.

Description

The start of the hike is in Falera. The winter hike then continues in the culturally significant Ruschein. The church hill was already a place of worship and sacrifice in pagan. After a short ascent you can enjoy the surrounding mountains in Siat.  Siat is home to an architectural highlight – the architect Gion A. Caminada, who is known beyond the country's borders, built the Ustria Steila restaurant.

The two beautifully situated villages are located on the south side of the Surselva between 1,200 and 1,300 meters above sea level. So you can expect plenty of sun on a simple winter hiking trail.
