Description
The history of the Alten Bad Pfäfers (old baths at Pfäfers) - the last remaining preserved baroque baths in Switzerland - starts in 1240, when, according to legend, two hunters discovered the thermal water spring. Over the years and centuries the baths expanded and became an extremely popular, international health resort with a famous clientele. A part of St. Gallen since 1838, the restored baths, rescued from demolition, are today a natural, cultural and peaceful oasis, supported by the Altes Bad Pfäfers Foundation.
The originally baroque, renovated in neo-Gothic style, baths chapel adjoining the old baths,is consecrated to Saint Magdalena. It is worth a visit. Here you will find yourself again in a potent "place of power". The intensity of the earth rays is very high, the energy quality is up and down and can support healing processes.
