Chapel Surselva
Chapel St. Katharina, Campliun

Description
The chapel was consecrated on August 14, 1592 in honor of St. Catherine with an altar. Renovation and construction of a timbered porch in 1658.
Description of the building
Northeast-facing chapel with a recessed choir closed on three sides and covered by a barrel vault, which is adapted to the polygon in the choir by a half-dome. The shape of the arched windows and the door apparently date from 1658. In front of the west front is a porch built in 1658, whose wooden front has recently been renewed. Gabled roof with open ridge turret, crowned by a slender pointed spire.
Wall paintings
Remains of various figures of saints can be seen on the inner north wall. The present windows probably date from the renovation of 1658.
The altars
Wooden high altar, in the niche a figure of the title saint from around 1750-1760. On the southern side altar is a late Gothic wooden sculpture of the enthroned Virgin Mary. There are also four oil paintings of the saints in the church. S. Caesarius, Baiulus, Florentia and Barbara.
