The approximately 500 year old St. Remigius Church was built on a magnificent viewing terrace, the Mutta. The church is considered to be one of the most beautiful and interesting cultural and historical buildings in the Vorderrheintal.

Description

A splendid avenue of linden and maple trees leads from the village up to St. Remigius Church. This venerable church from the 15th century is built wonderfully into the surroundings on a magnificent viewing terrace with a unique view over the middle of the Vorderrhein Valley. Experts consider the church to be one of the most beautiful and interesting historical buildings in the Vorderrheintal. A house of worship is documented for the first time in 1045 in a deed of donation from Emperor Heinrich III. called. The current building was consecrated on December 7, 1491. The late Romanesque tower dates back to the 13th century. In the warm summer months we alternately celebrate our Sunday services here, but the church is also very popular for weddings and baptisms.
