Description
The chapel cannot be visited.
In the Carolingian Urbar of about 840, a Victor's Church is mentioned. In 1504 it was reconsecrated as a branch of the parish church of St. Mary. There are no recognizable parts left of the past, as well as the medieval stock in general. The present chapel dates back to a new building, which - with an altar - was consecrated on 27 June 1704.
Building description: Facing northeast, uniformly baroque, well-proportioned complex, with a choir closed on three sides and a two-bay nave, both vaulted with barrels. Lighting is provided by quadrangular windows below the entablature.
The tower only rises above the ship's northeast corner at eaves height. Semicircular closed sound windows. Eyelashes and pointed helmet.
Interior decoration: stucco medallions with artless paintings. The altar is an aedicule made of stucco, from 1704. The altarpiece dates from the first half of the 17th century with Latin inscriptions. In front of it stands a baroque Pietà from the 17th century.
Bells: With inscriptions. One of the bells is one of the oldest in the entire canton. This dates from around 1200. A very similar bell is located in S. Vittore, Misox. The barons of Sax-Misox held the lordship of Lugnez until 1486 and it is said that these lords brought the bell as a gift to Degen.
