Waterfall
Seerenbach Falls and Rin Source
Description
With a height difference of almost 600 m, the Seerenbach Falls form one of the highest waterfalls in Europe. At the same time, the middle step with a drop height of 305 m is considered one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Switzerland. Immediately below the impact zone, the Rin spring emerges from the mountain. It is one of the largest underground river systems in Europe. The water from the Rin spring comes from Toggenburg and flows through a cave system stretching many kilometres along the Churfirsten in just a few hours.
