Nestled in the midst of mountain ranges lies Tschiertschen, a traditional village in the Schanfigg valley with beautiful views of the landscape. Tschiertschen is the ideal holiday destination for those equally interested in sports, culture and relaxation. Discover beautiful old wooden buildings on a leisurely stroll through the village, enjoy spectacular views of the valley and meet friendly locals.

Tschiertschen in summer 

Tschiertschen in summer is a veritable Paradise for hikers and cyclists. Experience true freedom in the fantastic mountain landscape of Tschiertschen. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds, there are a total of 70 kilometres of hiking trails surrounding the village. There are routes connecting Tschiertschen to neighbouring towns like Arosa, Lenzerheide and Churwalden - and of course up to the most beautiful mountain peaks. Along the way you can stop off at cosy alp huts and restaurants like at Ochsenalp, Weisshorn or Hörnlihütte. For mountain bikers, there is a choice between a variety of routes, for example from Jochalp to the Hühnerköpfe. Make sure you visit the mountain restaurant at your destination, alone the panoramic view from 1,970 metres above sea level is worth the stop.

Tschiertschen in winter

The ski resort in Schanfigg valley can be reached in about 15 minutes from Chur. Parking and riding on the ski bus to the chair lift station. The cosy village lies on the north face of the mountain, making its ski resort snow sure. The two chair and ski lifts ensure that skiers are well distributed across the slopes. Which means that queueing at the lifts is something unheard of here. Children have the opportunity to practice their first turns on a beginner's slope, with a carpet lift and a kids' lift. Four mountain restaurants and a ski bar make sure that you will be well fed and entertained at all times while on the slopes. As an alternative to skiing or snowboarding, the small but well-run ski resort also offers a sledding run, snowshoe trails and a natural ice rink, where you can play a local variant of curling.
