At 2,390 m above sea level lies the Leg Grevasalvas, a mountain lake above Bivio, which presents itself from its most beautiful and picturesque side in the early morning hours.
The Leg Grevasalvas is located in the middle of an impressive hiking landscape between two valleys, on which – with a little luck – you can also meet a marmot.

It is believed that there was already a chapel in Surrein in 1595. In 1643 the church was reconsecrated. The church of Surrein is dedicated to St. Placidus. The present church with three altars was built by the Capuchins and consecrated in 1695. In 1786 Surrein became an independent parish. In 1908 the church was completely renovated. The last major renovation took place in 1950/51.

The chapel was consecrated in 1716 and stands in the western part of Surrein. It faces east and has a choir closed on three sides. The chapel was extensively and beautifully restored in 2011.
