10 Historic Hotels

Two stables were converted for Casa Caminada in Fürstenau. In this family and boutique hotel, its guests will find cosy rooms that are flooded with light as well as a spectacular view of the famous Schauenstein Castle and the surrounding mountains.

In the car-free side valley of Val Fex you will find peace and quiet in lovely nature - and in the Hotel Fex, a guesthouse from the Belle Époque. The hotel once stood in St. Moritz, was dismantled and then rebuilt in the Fex Valley. Its centrepiece is the dining room, which has been preserved in its original state.

Wide corridors within the magnificent baroque passageways inside the Disentis Abbey lead you to the guest rooms with a view of the village. The stylishly furnished rooms ensure heavenly hours of sleep. Breakfast and lunch menus are available in the abbey’s «Stiva Sogn Placi» bistro.

A surprise awaits you behind every double door In the Bergün spa hotel. There is the stylish restaurant with regional cuisine, the «ladies' salon» as well as the banqueting hall with its rose-decorated ceiling. The new spa in the hotel provides ideal relaxation options through its pools, sauna and relaxation pavilion.

The house served as a holiday home for workers in the Swiss metal and watch industry during the 1930s. Today, you will find a hotel and the visitor centre for the Beverin Nature Park in the «Center da Capricorns». Swiss pine panels and well-preserved original furniture are aglow with the charm of yesteryear.

The Palazzo Salis is the most striking building in the Bergell mountain village of Soglio. This stately house with façades from the late 16th century is flanked by two towers. The Palazzo’s gardens are among the most beautiful in Graubünden.

«Gasthaus am Brunnen» stands on the village square in Valendas. Next to: one of the largest wooden fountains in Europe. This 500-year-old house has been a small hotel and restaurant since 2014. Chef Matthias Althof's reputation attracts guests from near and far to Valendas.

Hotel Piz Linard burnt down almost completely in 1869 and it was rebuilt afterwards. A total renovation during the 2000s restored the house to its former glory. The centrepiece of the building is the pine saloon from 1926. The room furnishings were inspired by artists.

This former holiday home of a confectioner's family stood empty for many years. The historic building was back to life as a B&B in 2017. The house radiates tremendous authenticity: the ornate stencil paintings, the secluded garden and the old kitchen.
